At Nottinghamshire’s Joint Police and Fire Headquarters, we have set up a brand new Social Supermarket!
What is a Social Supermarket?
A social supermarket, or pantry, offers good quality food, at a discounted price. Our Pulp Friction social supermarket is also helping to protect the environment by saving surplus food from going to waste.
This means the food on offer in the supermarket will often vary depending on the surplus food available. We will also be offering food made at Pulp Friction, for example our chutneys and pickles!
We will also be utilising the space to offer goods hand-crafted by our Members! Our Members are often learning new skills and trying their hand at new techniques to create beautiful gifts, cards and trinkets. For example, customers can pick up items such as handmade keyrings and wildflower seed packets.
Funds raised through the Supermarket will go back into supporting our Members during their time at Pulp Friction.
