Throughout October and November, Pulp Friction Members Clare and Michelle have worked alongside Angela to bring an inclusive drama-based arts project to life at Lilya’s Lighthouse. As part of the ‘Creative Connections’ programme, we were given the opportunity to lead drama-based sessions by the fantastic BeatFeet team.
The aim was simple but powerful: to make sure every young person could enjoy meaningful, joyful arts experiences, without barriers, pressure or limits.
Creativity That Welcomes Everyone
Across the sessions, young people explored drama, movement and music in ways that suited them. Clare and Michelle helped shape the activities so everyone could join in confidently, whether through big expressive moments or quiet, imaginative contributions.
The focus wasn’t on getting things “right” but on having fun, building trust and celebrating what each person brings.
Why This Matters
Inclusive creative spaces give young people room to grow, communicate, play and belong. This project showed just how much confidence and connection can come from being welcomed exactly as you are.
Proud Partnerships
We’re grateful to Lilya’s Lighthouse and BeatFeet for creating such a warm, accessible environment – and we’re especially proud of Clare and Michelle for leading with enthusiasm, kindness and creativity.
Here’s to more projects where everyone has the chance to shine.
